Sofia is a photo editor and writer for IMAGO-IMAGES agency, delivering photography to various news and media outlets and creating magazines to write about and showcase photography from around the world. She completed her Bachelor's degree at Northeastern University in the class of 2020 with a major in journalism and a minor in photography. She worked for EVN Report magazine in Yerevan, Armenia as a journalism intern from July to December, 2019 where she pitched and wrote long-form analytical research-based articles about foreign affairs, environment, culture and society. In 2018, she spent six months working as an art journalist in Berlin with Berlin Art Link magazine, where she wrote art critiques, conducted artist interviews, and did public relations work for the magazine. Sofia also spent the month of May, 2018 reporting out of Havana, Cuba with Northeastern's School of Journalism, and was nominated for a New England Regional Emmy Award for her work there. Throughout her studies in Boston, she conducted photography and photojournalism projects, contributed to university publications, and wrote several articles ranging from explanatory pieces to profiles and investigative articles.
